We have owned and raised Katahdin sheep for about 10 years. During that time, we have had a variety of rams, and a select flock of ewes. Katahdin’s are a hair sheep that are primarily used for their delicious meat. Our’s are grass fed and grass finished. We don’t spray our pasture, so there not certified organic, but pretty close. Our ewes are mild mannered and are great mothers. Our original plan was to train the dogs with the flock, which we have done some, mostly however, we just play and expose the dogs with the flock.
